Welcome statement
Welcome to our much-anticipated fall bred doe sale. Thank you to the several visitors to the farm, and those who have reached out to us, we appreciate your business. Every time we have a sale, at least half of the offering sells to repeat customers, and we are thankful for the trust that you put into us. Each of the mature does have raised kids this year, and every doe was confirmed pregnant either by ultrasound or by BioPryn blood test, depending upon their due date. There are way too many problem-breeding does being sold in this industry as "open with no guarantee". Especially the really cool looking fat ones, who look like they have never raised a natural kid, and just got done selling $40K worth of offspring last year. Why do you think the breeder is selling her? I call these does Mermaids. The are very tempting......however if you cannot resist the temptation, they will crash your boat. These animals need to become the main ingredient in a taco, not sold to the unsuspecting new owners. Rest assured that there is too much old stockman in me, and I am not hard-up enough for money to have to engage in those practices. In addition, I cull have culled for 15 years on the convenience traits of mothering ability, milking ability, fertility, and attitude. YOu can bid with confidence. We are in "keep the herd the same size mode" so I need to sell off some of the older good does to make room for the keepers from last season's kid crop. We are moving forward with their daughters. We also pulled a few select yearling does out, due to visitor's requests. Please feel free to call with any questions.
