Welcome statement

Welcome to the 2nd annual Friends of Hancock County Poss-ABILITIES benefit sale! Here at Sunshine Valley Farm in rural Hancock County, Indiana, we are in our fifth year of raising blackface cross and Southdown sheep for sale as show prospects or custom processed lamb. Along with an incredible team of committee members, we created the Hancock County Poss-ABILITIES program in 2023. Inspired by my own daughter, Emery, who was born with Down Syndrome and Schizencephaly; we are building this non-profit organization committed to creating an interactive livestock experience for youth of all ABILITIES. We promote inclusion, foster youth, and build strong bonds in youth within the livestock industry. Your support of this sale will help us continue keeping our efforts free to all participants and help fund additional opportunities for these special kids; from day camps and showing livestock to scholarships, help with necessary equipment, and more!

On this page, you will find the ‘Click-to-Claim’ options as well if you still want to show your support financially, but don’t need any of the other lots available for purchase! 100% of those will be coming back to the program as well!

We appreciate your interest in our 2nd annual Friends of Hancock County Poss-ABILITIES benefit sale! If you have any questions on any of the consignments, the program itself, or need assistance with trucking, reach out to Emily Meckel 317-691-5321 or Allison May 240-513-5557. We plan to continue building this sale annually, so stay tuned on social media for more news
and updates in the future!
