Welcome statement
Welcome to the 12th annual Kinsley Show Lambs Bred Ewe Sale. 2025 was arguably our best year ever in the show ring, finishing with the Reserve Grand Overall Market Lamb at BOTH the Kansas State Fair and the North Carolina State Fair, as well as the Grand Overall Market Lamb (for the 2nd year in a row) at the Kendall Co Fair, one of the toughest county shows in Texas.
I'm incredibly excited for 2026 and strongly believe the list of AI rams selected for use this year is as strong and deep in quality as any operation in the country. Over the last 12 years this sale has sent ewes to buyers in almost 30 states and the customer satisfaction has been highly favorable with numerous repeat buyers each year. These ewes have been fed, managed and mated in the same manner they would be if I were retaining them.
For the first time ever, katahin ewe groups have been added to the sale. After using katahins as recips here since 2019, I would not consider using anything else going forward. The reject rates for recips at embryo implantation and conception rates for ET transfers have consistently outplaced other operations that have performed ET work on the same day and at the same host site location.
I have made comments on each lot to offer a bit of history and as much info as I can in a few sentences. However, I strongly encourage you to call or text for more information on individual lots.
