Welcome statement
We’re excited to welcome you to this special event — the first sale in the country to offer this many Australian White females. This is a big milestone for us at Peak Ovine, and one we’ve been working toward for quite some time. These ewes are ones we’ve personally flushed embryos out of, and we truly believe they represent the Peak Ovine program in the best way possible.
This offering is a unique opportunity to acquire proven, productive females that have already contributed to our own genetic base. We’re confident they’ll make an impact wherever they go. While this is our first sale of this kind, it’s only the beginning — we plan to continue offering elite females like these in future sales as we grow and advance the Australian White breed here in the U.S.
A quick note on the two bred ewes: they were AI’d on August 2nd using frozen semen from PKO’s Carbide and have been confirmed bred through blood testing. To ensure buyers are truly getting bred ewes, we also turned in our cover buck, Influencer, for 45 days following the blood results. These girls are expected to lamb around January 2nd.
Please note that animals will need to be picked up within two weeks of the sale. However, we have plenty of reliable hauling options available and are more than happy to help coordinate transportation to make things as easy as possible for our buyers.
